The Centara Karon Resort Phuket, situated close to Karon Beach, is composed of seven guest buildings and 19 villas within gardens. The Lagoon and Tropicale buildings both have three floors, while The Terraces building has nine floors. The Cabana villas are spread across the resort grounds. Recreational facilities include tennis courts and three swimming pools with swim-up bars, while a full-service spa provides treatments for men and women. Three restaurants and a bar offer Western and Asian dining options. Guest services include currency exchange, tour assistance, concierge, and childrens supervised programs. Conference/function room(s): Four function rooms can accommodate 25−120 guests. The Similan Room, covering 100 square metres (1,076 square feet), is situated on the 2nd floor of The Terraces building and is suitable for classroom- and cocktail/reception-style events for up to 80 guests. The 160-square metre (1,722-square foot) Andaman Room on the 9th floor of The Terrace building seats 40 people in U-shaped seat configurations and up to 120 guests in theatre-style. Tarutao Rooms I and II, measuring 240 square metres (2,5833 square feet) combined, are located on the 9th floor of The Terrace building. Tarutao I can accommodate 20−60 people, and Tarutao II can accommodate 40−100. Audiovisual equipment may be rented, and equipment such as microphones, a TV video projector, screen, slide projector, white board, flip chart, and LCD projector are also available for a surcharge.
The Centara Karon Resort Phuket offers a supervised childrens activity program, with babysitting services available on request.
Child care/babysitting: Babysitting service can be arranged through the resort, with 24-hour notification required (surcharge).
Facilities: Centara Karon Resort Phuket operates a complimentary, supervised childrens program for in-house guests. The main activity centre is located in the gardens opposite The Lagoon pool; however, some of the activities take place in various parts of the resort grounds. The activity programs are suitable for children aged 3−12, and include events such as nature walks, treasure hunts, movie time, and competitions. Other activities include golf, tennis, pool games, face painting, art and drawing, and cooking classes. There are also three childrens swimming pools within the resort. Supervised programs operate from 9 AM−5 PM and from 7 PM−10 PM, giving parents a chance to enjoy a quiet dinner. Children who are ill or who become ill may not participate in the program. Food and drinks are supplied from the resort food outlets.
